Classes Beginner Beginner is a new student. At this level a dancer will learn the first steps of Irish Step Dance. These classes will be 45 minutes.Advanced Beginner Advanced Beginner is a student that has been dancing more than one year. At this level a dancer will learn the secondary steps of Irish Step Dance, including beginner heavy (hard) shoe. These classes will total 3 hours. Novice Novice is a student who has earned this title by placing at feisanna or has been placed in this class by the instructor. At this level the dancer will learn the advanced secondary steps of Irish Step Dance. These classes will total 4 hours. Prizewinner Prizewinner is a student who has earned this title by placing at feisanna or has been placed in this class by the instructor. At this level a dancer will learn the advanced steps of Irish Step dance. Championship Championship is a student who has earned this title by placing at feisanna or has been placed in this class by the instructor. At this level a dancer will learn the Championship steps of Irish Step Dance. Figures Figures is dancing in a group, very similar to old-time square dancing. All Championship dancers are required to do Figures. Figures classes will vary in length. Adult Adult is an adult student who is interested in learning the basics of Irish Step dance. At this level a dancer will learn the elementary steps of the reel, jig and slip jig, and basic Figures movements. |
